Dance Shows Directed/Produced

Artistic Director

Over the past decade, Ms. DeAngelo has Directed and Produced over 13 multi-genre dance-variety extravanzas at City Center in New York City. Mounting high-profile special events requires an extraordinary artistic vision coupled with the ability to develop a creative concept; select and manage talent, including world-renowned celebrities; hire and oversee a production team including dozens of designers, technicians, and craftspeople; supervise all aspects of production, marketing, and graphic design; develop budgets; and more. Under her leadership, the Career Transition for Dancers show as well as Capezio’s 125th Anniversary celebration has showcased over hundreds of dancers and other performers each year from a wide spectrum of the dance world that includes everything from ballet, Broadway, ballroom, circus, modern, hip hop, tap, and Momix, to ethnic dances of Japan, Brazil, India and American Indians. The gala has included performances and special appearances from such notable guest artists as Paula Abdul, Marge Champion, Dule Hill, Sutton Foster, Marvin Hamlisch, James Earl Jones, Jane Krakowski, Angela Lansbury, Nigel Lythgoe, Shirley MacLaine, Liza Minnelli, Bebe Neuwirth, Rosie O’Donnell, Ann Reinking, Chita Rivera, Brooke Shields, Tommy Tune, and Ben Vereen. With Ann Marie at its helm, this unique cross-genre celebration of dancers and their artistry has earned its place as one of the highlights of the dance season in New York.
